What exactly are Pastured Eggs you ask?

The difference between a Pastured Egg and a Free Range Egg are as follows.

Free Range means that the hens are free to range from daylight to dusk on their own will and in their own time.  Some so called Free Range systmes do allow their hens to go outside but not on fresh green pasture and more likely on dirt.  Imagine 20,00 hens in one shed that can't be moved.  Would there be any pasture left after the first day?  The answer is No!

Thats why Pastured Eggs are the true Free Range Egg.  Pastured egg producing hens are kept in much smaller numbers, in moveable housing so they have access to fresh green pasture and bugs everyday. Pastured egg producing hens are also free to range from daylight to dusk on their own will and in their own time.

Now you know the differnce between them, which one would you pick?

The egg pictured here on the plate is what a fresh egg should look like.  There are two whites, one that is raised well above the plate and one that is watery that surrounds the other white.  The yolk sits high on top of the first white.
